Disability Insurance coverage is designed to help participants when faced with the loss of earnings associated with an incapacity to work due to illness or injury. SSQ offers Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance coverage, both of which are sufficiently flexible to meet the requirements of all our groups.

Short Term Disability Insurance
Short Term Disability Insurance provides an income to participants who are disabled, until they return to work or become entitled to Long Term Disability Insurance benefits provided for in their contract.

Long Term Disability Insurance
Long Term Disability Insurance ensures financial support to participants who are unable to work for an extended period of time due to illness or injury. This coverage provides for monthly benefit payments equal to a percentage of the participant’s monthly salary.

Rehabilitation
SSQ’s Rehabilitation Department is recognized for its proactive, dynamic approach. Its goal: to intervene early on a personal level to maximize employees’ strengths, while respecting their health condition, to help them regain autonomy and return to work.

Gradual Return to Work
SSQ Disability Insurance provides ways for participants to return to work on a gradual basis, and to help make their reintegration into the workplace easier.

Posaction Plus
The perfect complement to our proactive approach to disability management, the Posaction Plus service provides concrete solutions to help managers intervene quickly and competently to assist employees facing as personal or work-related problems.
